Welcome to WaZap Lite. Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how WaZap Lite (referred to as “the Extension”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Chrome Extension for WhatsApp Web automation.

By installing and using WaZap Lite, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We DO NOT Collect

To ensure your absolute privacy and security, we want to be clear about what we do not collect:

• No Messages or Chat History: We do not read, intercept, store, or transmit any of your personal messages, chat logs, or media files.
• No Contact Lists: We do not collect, harvest, or upload your phone book, contact lists, or targeted numbers to our servers.
• No Passwords or WhatsApp Credentials: We do not collect your WhatsApp login information or QR codes. All WhatsApp authentication remains strictly between your browser and WhatsApp Inc.

2. Information We DO Collect (And Why)

We strictly adhere to the principle of data minimization. We only collect the bare minimum data required to verify your software license and prevent abuse.

When you activate or use the Extension, the following data is transmitted to our secure server (wazaplite.asratech.id):

• License Key: To verify your subscription and unlock premium features.
• Device/Browser Fingerprint (Anonymized ID): A randomly generated, hashed identifier unique to your browser environment. This is used solely to enforce the “Active Devices” limit associated with your license and prevent unauthorized sharing of license keys.
• Extension Version: To notify you if a critical update is available.

3. How Data is Stored Locally

WaZap Lite is designed to operate locally on your device. The following data is stored entirely locally on your browser’s internal storage (chrome.storage.local) and never leaves your computer:

• Your drafted campaigns and message templates.
• Your imported contact numbers.
• Your campaign history and reports.
• Your local settings and preferences.

If you uninstall the extension, all locally stored data is permanently deleted by your browser.

4. Use of Permissions

To function properly, WaZap Lite requires certain browser permissions. Here is exactly how we use them:

• activeTab & tabs: Used to detect if you are on web.whatsapp.com and to seamlessly inject our User Interface without disrupting your browsing experience.
• storage & unlimitedStorage: Used strictly to save your campaign data, settings, and contacts locally on your hard drive.
• scripting: Used to automate repetitive tasks (like clicking the “Send” button or typing text) directly within the WhatsApp Web interface on your behalf.
• alarms: Used to run your scheduled campaigns exactly at the date and time you specified.
• Host Permissions (https://web.whatsapp.com/*, https://wa.me/*): Required to interact with the WhatsApp Web interface and create direct chat links.

5. Third-Party Access

WaZap Lite operates on top of WhatsApp Web. As such, your use of the messaging service is governed by the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer any of your personal information or usage data to third parties.

6. Security

We value your trust in providing us with your information, and we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. The communication between the extension and our license server uses secure, encrypted protocols (HTTPS/SSL). Local data is also encrypted using AES-GCM standards within your browser to prevent unauthorized local tampering.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Effective Date” at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
